Nose

A really earthy pine smoke here, as if I’m wandering in the West Coast woods of my childhood after someone has put out a campfire on a damp morning.

Palate

Wonderfully saturated and full with damp earthy smoke, sultanas, golden syrup, and behind the smoke, some red fruits too. With water, the sweetness comes out more.

Finish

Long and comforting with a sooty character.

A really characterful whisky with great balance that’s great with and without the addition of a splash of water.
