Nose
Baking camembert. Rosemary and garlic potatoes. Gentle charred herbal notes. Smoked vanilla custard. With time, sponge cake and rice pudding with strawberry and raspberry preserves.
Palate
Medium-full. Almond nuttiness, like frangipane, leaning into Bakewell tart. Fresh raspberry and hot chocolate. Shredded wheat cereal. Underneath, sweet-smoke notes linger.
Finish
Medium, on summer fruits, caramel, and wisps of smoke.
Comment
The well-integrated smoky character makes for pleasant sipping.
