Taster

Nose: Cola cubes, toffee popcorn, liquorice, the dark red Jelly Babies, covered in icing sugar. Sweet yet spicy, it has everything you want in a rye.\n

Palate: The biggest element you’d expect from the nose, spice, isn’t at the fore with that honour taken by strawberry liquorice laces and cherry cola. The spices make themselves known \nat the end.\n

Finish: And this is where the spice and cola integrate well. Lovely. \n

Comment: A rare find – a sipping rye that isn’t too bitter.

Taster

Nose: Intense, vibrant, black pepper coated rye with chunky coffeed oak. Hints of balsamic, sour cherries, cinnamon sticks, ginger powder and cigar leaf. With time a sumptuous liquid orange note appears.

Palate: Peppery and spicy, woody too with bitter chocolate. The oak balances until the dark rye arrives on a wave of mouth puckering bitterness. Intense. \n

Finish: Dry, mouth-watering and a little short with earthy, herbal marc-like notes. \n

Comment: Intense! Some may find it too dry and bitter, but to me, its fun!
