Palate: Rich, mellow, fruity. The same herbal freshness. Lemon balm, star anise. A delicate oak touch.

Finish: Dry, fresh oak. Walnut peel. Sweet liquorice.

Comment: A good combination of fruit and oak. Wood is well integrated. Quite a moreish dram.

Score: 8.5

Taster

Nose: Oily almost greasy. Wood preserver, slightly flabby. Moss and grass, green fern, hot bracken. With water, some camphor.

Palate: Light malt, dry oak, clean and citric.

Finish: Apple and nutmeg.

Comment: Technically excellent...but an extra dimension is needed. None of these are complex.
