Oh yes, just as the weather got colder this hit the spot. Warming and balanced.

Nose: Almost Christmas in a glass, toffee penny sweets and red liquorice. Parkin cake and cinder toffee. Some tinned cherries and tropical fruit too.
Palate: Toffee apples and that cinder toffee coated in milk chocolate. There's a zip of citrus, pepper spice here, almost the heat from pickled chillies.
Finish: Really takes its time, coating with fruit and nut chocolate.
Comment: Oh yes, just as the weather got colder this hit the spot. Warming and balanced.

Nose: My granny’s kitchen cupboard jam packed with apple laces, followed with marzipan and the aroma of prickly summer heat. Sesame oil, chargrilled pineapple slices and herbal mint.
Palate: Rich and chewy with stewed apples, cinnamon and dark chocolate treacle. Wood polish and white pepper creep through with a split second burst of grapefruit juice.
Finish: Full and long with a chewy, nutty finish.
Comment: This seems to be a dark horse with a split personality. In a good way.
