Taster

Nose: Cumin, curry leaf, coriander seed, dried lemon, toffee, and distillery mill room. Snickers bar (milk chocolate, nougat, peanut). Battered chicken. Star anise and clove. Wholemeal waffle.

Palate: Medium-light. The spicy nose belies a somewhat more conventional palate. Bramble jam, apple fritter, and caramelised pears. Nougat with salted pistachio. There’s still savoury meatiness.

Finish: Medium-long, on turmeric and almond cake.

Comment: Someone’s ordered takeaway to the production floor.
