Nose: Distinct peat character; stalky. Lime skins.

Palate: Flowery: buttercups. Syrupy, with rich sherry notes. Very big in the middle, with lots of flavour development. Soft mint humbugs.

Finish: More mint, becoming drier.

Comment: A big, rich interpretation; an outstanding digestif.

Score: 9

Jim Murray

Taster

Nose: A sulphury sherry note. Alas, still present when reduced.

Palate: Malt and fruit richness, dry oakiness. The off-notes vanish leaving a big maltiness.

Finish: Smoky, slightly peaty and chocolatey.
