One to forget.
1979, Bourbon Barrel
No age statement
Nose: A disappointingly dirty, off aroma more akin to a curry than a single malt.
Palate: Much better than the nose suggests but beyond a sweet maltiness it doesn't travel far before something thin and not quite right makes an entry.
Finish: Malty with vanilla but very little depth.
Comment: One to forget.
Nose: Salt. Fresh limes. Citrus peel.
Palate: Lightly nutty. Creamy, oily. Clean, grassy, peat.
Comment: Surprising peatiness, but without smokiness.
