Classic and quite unmistakable Caol Ila with its ultra-clean, delightfully oily gristy peatiness.

Palate

Malt-sweet at first and them an intense build-up of clean, uncomplex peat. Chewy and fat.

Finish

Long, sweet and gristy with just a gentle oak follow through.

Comment

Caol Ila is not renowned for its complexity but this is as good as it gets at what its best at: offering big peat in a sweet, oily manner. Excellent.
