A rare chance to taste Glenlossie but, again, the wood gets in the way.
Murray McDavid Mission II
1975, 28 Years Old
Nose: Grassy. Herbal. Spicy.
Palate: Oily. Perfumy Lively.
Finish: Oaty, bitter, woody.
Comment: A rare chance to taste Glenlossie but, again, the wood gets in the way.
Nose: Mature. Nutty, powdered hazelnut, cashew. Fresh timber. Limeade and oak with water.
Palate: Caramelised nut. Sweet but the oaky frame is pretty sturdy. Some black fruit (cherry).
Comment: Decent balance, just a little too long in wood for me.
