Sweet, this shows that good whisky making is alive and well in Oz, even if there are better aged examples.

Taster

Nose: Exceedingly herbal nose. A little feinty and manurey but there’s also some estery fruit and honey to offset. Fresh and invigorating with green banana, oily apricot, mandarin and a dusting of caster sugar.

Palate: Oilier than the nose with barley, apricot, banana, mandarin with plenty of herbal notes. Honeyed with an almost triple distilled high-toned character. A little caster sugar sweetens. \n

Finish: A little short and tart with lingering herbal notes and barley. \n

Comment: An entertaining little number resembling young, American oak aged Auchentoshan.
