A real head opener which is slightly of the wall, but wonderfully likeable.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: That exotic caraway, vetiver and eucalypt aroma with a touch of incense and a little acetone. There's also autumn fruits and a light meatiness.

Palate: Highly fragrant and intense. Sandalwood, citrus oils, preserved lemon, fragrant herbs, light smoke. Powerfully aromatic, balanced and with real class.

Finish: Maraschino, herbs and smoke.

Comment: A real head opener which is slightly of the wall, but wonderfully likeable.

Score: 8.5

Taster

Nose: Floral. Estery. Exotic fruit. Mango, pineapple. Echo of vetiver. Enticing bouquet.

Palate: Appetising, with a light sweetness which brings out briny phenolic puffs and delicate fruit. Quite a good control of alcohol given the strength. Spicy bite. Touch of cinnamon and ginger.

Finish: Long spicy feel. Smoky aftertaste.

Comment: Another outdoor drink combining estery elegancy and phenolic pungency. High strength must be monitored with water.
