Nose
Gritty oak and primal, botanical, medicinal herbs, iodine, camphor, barebcue smoke, charred oak and rubber. The peat is compressed and sooty. The treacle balances.
Palate
Balanced with smoky oak and sooty peat. Herbal with astringent peat. Again, the treacle sweetness balances. Charred oak, barbecue meat and tar.
Finish
Long, with a wonderful salt encrusted finish. \n
Comment
Water makes it sweeter and smokier, but just like the George T Stagg, it has to be experienced as nature intended – neat!
