Nose: Cooked fruits, bitter orange/orange pulp, rum and raisin. Almost leathery notes. Pipe smoke, allspice.

Palate: Sweet and deep, but with very pure flavours. Grilled nut. Old-fashioned rose. Ripe.

Finish: Begins to dry. Shows some good maturity.

Comment: A well-made, serious bourbon. One for cigars.

Nose: Restrained. Sweet. Nutty. Smoky.

Palate: Almond essence. Vanilla. Corn muffins.

Finish: Toasty. Crisp.

Comment: Biscuits and gravy and a shot of Charter 12. The breakfast of champions.
