Fall 2019 Edition
Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Chipotle chilli-rubbed steak roasting over maple wood chips, smoky and meaty all at once. Sweetcorn roasted in its leaves.
Palate: Hot buttered cornbread with smoked sea salt. Huge green tea tannins take over with smoked almond skins and then sweetness from roast chillis comes in, cream cheese and honey too.
Finish: Everything balls up in one and floods the finish, then it dries leaving honey roasted almonds and pecans.
Comment: Impressive stuff and one for sipping and savouring slowly during the evening.
Nose: Lots of buttered fruits like pineapple and mango flesh cooking away on a charcoal fire. Pistachio marshmallows and lemon meringue pie. And a bowl or two of Crunchy Nut cornflakes.
Palate: Honey and apricot granola bars smothered in vanilla yoghurt with a cup of earl grey tea. Tobacco and mandarin-infused sugar syrup, ground cumin and crushed meringues. Super nutty.
Finish: Creamy and fruity with a lightly toasted spice.
Comment: A tobacco-infused Piña Colada you may say.
