Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Scented, attar of roses, pollen and lemongrass. Polished oak and almonds. Almost like an amaretto made in Kentucky. Water brings out cherries, wintergreen, sagebrush. High toned.
Palate: Soft and slightly jammy to start and not as noisy as the nose suggests. Sourdough and apple.
Comment: A rollercoaster.
Nose: Exotic with wood spice, dried herbs and a slight nutty edge. Has that sweetshop note as well.
Palate: Gentle and not as brash as you would expect. The cooked corn note comes through.
Finish: A little bitter.
Comment: Definitely a grower.
