Nose: Cooked fruit, light medicinal notes, fish oil, black olives in brine, dried seaweed. Vanilla.
Palate: Layered flavours. Starts sweet (banana) then Savlon, seaweed, tar-covered pebbles, with perfumed smoke on top. Balanced.
Finish: Tarry. Peat.
Comment: Good balance between heavy phenols and sweet creamy oak. A long, generous, palate filler.

Nose: Fragrant. Saffron.
Palate: Delicate. Slips down like a freshly shucked oyster. Sweet, then smoky, then toasty.
Finish: Sharply appetising acidity.
