Nose

It's another pale and interesting peaty one! Bog myrtle,marram grass and cod liver oil.Very similar to No4. Cooking oysters and bacon,wet bamboo and salty with a slight elastoplast quality.

Palate

Soft and subtle with the peat in good balance. Intense fresh and distinctly salt-tinged.

Finish

Hot and lightly grassy.

Another lovely Caol Ila that just lacks a little weight.
