Nose

Darkly caramelised bananas, the sharpness of lemon, and a hint of dried thyme. Chocolate shortbread with dusty cocoa powder, ground ginger, and apricot yoghurt. A hint of prune.

Palate

Light-medium bodied. Sticky, spicy ginger cake, with stem ginger warmth. Chocolate-coated coffee beans. Sweet blackberry and apple pie filling. Gentle hints of ripe red fruit and toasted teacake.

Finish

Medium-short, and quite grippy, with vanilla pods and root beer.

Takes water well, mellowing the woody notes.
