Nose

Lemon meringue pie and dried orange peel. Oatcakes and apple cooked with cinnamon. Some subtle fresh grain. An oily, fatty note, too.

Palate

At first, a slightly confected orange sweetness, like orange jelly, that feels syrupy in the mouth. Then fresh hay and mown grass, fennel seed-studded sourdough and toasted cumin seeds.

Finish

Rooibos tea and continuing grassiness on the medium finish.

Comment

Incredibly unusual. The strong citrus notes will put some off, but it has a redeeming grassy freshness.
