Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Cherry cobbler, followed by rose water and almond frangipane, warm scones with blueberry compote, sea salt and fresh oak shavings.

Palate: Less sweet on the palate than you’d expect from the nose, with aniseed and lots of nutmeg spice dominating. There’s a backdrop of cornflakes and warm milk and a hint of lavender.

Finish: Big spice grip with a drying finish and lots of aniseed spice.

Comment: Noses like a Bourbon but the palate surprises with its huge spice and tannin finish.

Taster

Nose: Bright and fruity, laden with tropical-flavoured chews bursting with juicy pineapple, lime, lemon and foam bananas. There’s a sweet, creamy caramel tone that binds it all together.

Palate: More tropical fruits – pineapple, kiwi and banana chips – with indulgent pudding treats like spiced ginger cake, spotted dick, crushed walnuts and runny caramel sauce.

Finish: Vibrant and bright, a touch of oak spice tingle.

Comment: Simply put, a really impressive and nice easy-drinking session whisky.
