An unusual aromatic profile (when compared to Scottish single malt) with a character of its own. Well balanced and deeply rooted in Corsica nature.

Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Taster

Nose: Very particular. Fruity and balsamic. Eucalyptus and myrtle. Black fruit. Bramble, blueberry. Then a malty note slowly emerging.

Palate: Oily, with a thick syrupy feel. Oak prevails but in a pleasant way, giving way to a slight astringency and spiciness. Spicy myrtle. Eucalyptus too.

Finish: Spicy, much drier. Licorice and myrtle.

Comment: An unusual aromatic profile (when compared to Scottish single malt) with a character of its own. Well balanced and deeply rooted in Corsica nature.

Score: 7.8

Taster

Nose: Like the Australian bush, menthol and floral. A touch of Deep Heat too. Underneath there are soft dark fruits and some malt.

Palate: The menthol note is still there. It’s oily with the wood becoming spicier.

Finish: Spices with a faint floral note.

Comment: Wonderfully different nose, quite unlike the others. Stands out from the crowd.
