Taster

Nose: Curious Oriental food note (chow mein?) some coconut and tarry smoke. With water it's all change, with cleaner and zingy lime notes.

Palate: Savoury olives and artichoke, sweet and woody, with a distinctive peaty and earthy underlay.

Finish: Quite long; rustic, with some salt and pepper.

Comment: A solid performer but not in the same league as the 1982 25 Years Old.

Score: 7.1

Taster

Nose: Briny.Smoky. Rooty peat.Hint of violet. Tarmac after a summer shower. Seaweed bonfire. Rich and invigorating.Touch of lemon zest.

Palate: Firm and sweet. That lovely deep maltiness wrapped in smoke. Dances\ron the tongue. Tangerine. A light touch of TCP.

Finish: Dry,spicy,fizzy.

Comment: That dram gives you a briny hug. It warms you without burning. A zesty queen of the Hebrides.
