Nose: Chinese spices, all spice rubbed on crackling. Candied peel and expensive Christmas scented candles. With water, floral notes emerged with compost in a greenhouse.
Palate: The tastes took me to the kitchen, proving bread dough and Christmas cake mixture. It had a warm, earthy, savoury spice.
Finish: Thick and unctuous in texture with a soft umami finish.
Comment: Unusual savoury characteristics which I liked.
Nose: Intense, fruity and sweet. Dried cranberries. Citrus fruit. Blood orange. Demerara sugar syrup. A floral note reminding of wall flowers. With water, sweet apples.
Palate: Round and sweet. Sugary at start. With a gap at mid palate (watery sensation). Caramel.
Finish: Drying on soft spices (ginger). Citrussy.
Comment: The nose delivers more than the palate which is really sweet. Water kills it.
