Nose

Quite nutty up front, roasting chestnuts on a log fire, freshly cracked hazelnuts and chocolate coated brazil nuts. A bit of orange peel brings sweetness, and gentle smoke.

Palate

Those nut notes continue, pecan pie and candy-coated almonds. Creamy peanut butter on warm seeded bread. There’s also a bit of treacle toffee going on too, some baking pastry.

Finish

Carrot sweetness and a little beetroot earthiness, but still sweet and quite light.

Comment

Very easy to drink whiskey with plenty going on in the flavour stakes.
