Tasting Notes

Dominic Roskrow

Taster

Nose: Powerful and masculine. Big berry fruits, blood orange and then, intriguingly, raspberry.

Palate: Another American Whiskey with a twist and very good, too, with a nice balance of fruits and rye. The spiciness stops it from being cloying or over-sweet.

Finish: Nice and balanced with spice and fruit clinging on.

Comment: Pure class. A must for anyone who goes for big bold flavours.

Score: 8.3

Taster

Nose: Raspberry bushes in fruit, tangy powerful, great amounts of leather and sweet fruits. A touch of burnt sugar too.

Palate: Intense fruit and spices. A little dustiness like an old church and a\rreally spiced kick at the end.

Finish: The spices dry a little with the fruit lingering.

Comment: A great example of an old rye. One to savour.
