Just of the edge of too much wood. Age weighs. But the complexity of the nose keeps the profile high.

Taster

Nose: A strong varnish note quite aggressive for the nostrils at start. That sharp bite gives way to a pleasant fruit\rand spices display. Then a sweet vanilla and caramel cream covers the fruit. Quite complex.

Palate: Wood tends to show up but fruit resist, supported by a definite floral invasion. Elderberry wine.

Finish: Dry,oaky. Licoriced comeback.

Comment: Just of the edge of too much wood. Age weighs. But the complexity of the nose keeps the profile high.

Taster

Nose: Lifted, clean, intense. Oils, dried cranberry, custard then fragrant spices, candy. Water adds a teasing\racidity and touches of maraschino.

Palate: Good grip, balanced by huge flavour impact:orange bitters opening into roses, polished oak, camphor.Tannins suggest age. Great balance. Complex.

Finish: Dusty rye. Intense and long. Sweet oak.

Comment: Fantastic balance. Highest recommendation.
