An attractive, tawny, colour and a good, straight-ahead, whiskey. Could be more complex at ten years. Ideal with a Texas barbecue?
Very Small Batch, 10 Years Old
Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Cleanly oaky. Dessert apples. Toast. A hint of char.
Palate: Big, smooth, sweet.
Comment: An attractive, tawny, colour and a good, straight-ahead, whiskey. Could be more complex at ten years. Ideal with a Texas barbecue?
Nose: Attractive, soft nose. Nutty (hazelnut, peanut brittle) with some oak tones. In time, liquorice, cream toffee, walnut, coffee bean, smoke/soot.
Palate: Soft fruits: peaches in cream with a little wood towards the back.
Finish: A little short and dry.
Comment: Well made and pretty punchy, but maybe just a little too dry.
