Taster

Nose: Gorse, daffodil, and a whiff of gentian. A bag of malted barley and a whiff of wash. Nectarine and tinned pineapple. Citrus peels. Cookie dough and toasted oak.

Palate: Medium. Concentrated fruity flavours of orange, lemon, and nectarine. With time, some fresh banana, subtle marshmallow, and vanilla cookie notes, too.

Finish: Medium. The sweet cookie note builds, with applesauce.

Comment: A fresh and summery Highlander. Needs a touch of water.

Score: 7.9

Taster

Nose: Grated lemon zest, fresh cream, lavender, and a hint of violet. Pillowy sponge cake and fluffy meringue. Browning apple slices and vanilla rice pudding. A little olive oil.

Palate: Light-medium. Wheat biscuits with honey, cinnamon, and chopped nuts. Fresh pear and apple, and a hint of burnt pie crust. Malted milk biscuits, golden syrup, and warming ginger spice.

Finish: Long, on honey and hazelnuts.

Comment: Light and spring-like. A drop of water draws out more floral honey notes.
