Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Digging peat on the moors, that earthy, fresh soil aroma tinged with cotton and damp wood. Blood oranges dipped in lush dark chocolate, topped with roasted chilli flakes.

Palate: Just-ripe Victoria plums, poached pears and peaches in syrup. That savoury edge is here too with almost herb-roasted chicken and salted new potatoes. A touch of pipe tobacco and aged leaves.

Finish: Gentle and full of those cigar notes mixed with soft fruit.

Comment: Smoking and drinking in a humidor with a peach.

Score: 8.4

Taster

Nose: Toasting marshmallows on the campfire with pine needles burning. Juicy Fruit chewing gum, peaches in honey and tomato chutney. Dehydrated mandarins.

Palate: Soft, luscious toasted rye bread, banana milk, coconut shavings and digestive biscuits. Snickers bar cheesecake served up alongside baked brie, smoked applewood and rosemary crackers.

Finish: A soft, sweet fruitiness with a subtle tobacco smoke.

Comment: Stuffing all the fruity marshmallows and a cheeseboard in your mouth in one go.
