Nose

Such an intriguing nose. It’s hard to place but there are lots of wood shavings, a bit of freshly turned earth, coffee grounds, and glue, before some dark plums, treacle, and cedar smoke.

Palate

Really well balanced, dark chocolate, cinder toffee, frankincense, wet tobacco, and black liquorice. There’s nutmeg and sappy honey too.

Finish

Lengthy — left a long spicy, chewy note on the palate as if I were still really tasting it.

A really interesting whisky that sucks you in like a vortex. I’m intrigued, and want to know more.
