A greatly improved malt.
12 Years Old
Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Thin, austere and mildly feinty.
Palate: Vanilla is the main theme and there is a fresh, fruity, mouth-watering quality.
Finish: Surprisingly long and increasingly oily. A hint of smoke adds to the complexity.
Comment: A greatly improved malt.
Nose: Faint tobacco. Autumn leaves. Hint of pine.
Palate: Sweet. Cereal grains.
Finish: Very sweet. Cookie-like.
Comment: A totally different style from Yoichi malts. A very enjoyable, sweet, pick me up. After a round of golf?
