Nose: Very gentle at first, the something akin to cucumber (green and minerally) which moves through to green apple skins and tuna ceviche. A little lime and cane sugar syrup. That tussle of sweet and savoury.
Palate: Soft and gentle and have a most lovely sweet, mouthcoating oiliness to it. Fresh coffee grinds, then honeycomb coated in milk chocolate. A tang of raspberry and kiwi fruit.
Finish: Great sweetness here balanced with some gentle tannins.

Nose: Cinnamon flavoured chocolates, some red berries, a little dry, oxidised apples.
Palate: Perhaps more reserved than its nose? The apples remain, although now they’ve been combined with the cinnamon and baked in a sugar-topped pie. It’s coating and very smooth, with enough sweetness from honey and vanilla to balance out some of the dryer notes. Near the end some hefty stone fruits.
Finish: Remains with you and leaves a sweet, last impression.
Comment: Straight-forward, decent single malt whisky.
Score: 7.8
