ABV 51.5%
Attractive, but just a touch insubstantial, lacking the texture and flavour range to make it great.

Nose: Light, then a suggestion of lawnmower box, wet grass and fresh green herbs. A sugary sweetness alongside a charred, phenolic note whick develops.
Palate: Seems light, but has a good weight mid-palate with those burn, smoky notes balanced by raspberry and lemon.
Finish: Dies a little quickly.
Comment: Attractive, but just a touch insubstantial, lacking the texture and flavour range to make it great.
Score: 7.5

Nose: Very flowery. Lemony. A touch of sulphur.
Palate: Starts quietly, with gradual flavour development. Dry. Cereal grain. Grassy. Burnt grass.
Finish: Slightly astringent.
Comment: Good for its age, but I preferred it two or three years ago.
Score: 7.5
