Nose: Aromatic. Light, clean. Flowery. Nutty maltiness. Restrained peat.
Palate: Lightly malty, syrupy. Very sweet.
Finish: Drying. Faintly peaty. Very leafy. Fruity sourness. Like eating a kumquat.
Comment: An enjoyable malt, but Glendronach is capable of more.
Score: 7.5
Taster
Nose: Light. Undiluted it's vegetal and grassy with hints of putty and soot. Water brings out a sweeter mash tun/soggy shredded wheat note, almond, dried grass with some melon.
Palate: Gentle, clean and pretty. Vanilla, smoke and a spiky citric lift.
Finish: Grassy and soft.
Comment: Attractive if light. At least someone's bottling it: Allied how about you?
Score: 7.8
