Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Creamy. A pat of butter melting over wholemeal toast. OTT. Water brings out tangerine, lemon and spring flowers.

Palate: Crisper than the nose suggests. The flowers are hanging in there along with some spiciness but all locked into the soft embrace of the butter.

Finish: Quite light.

Comment: Big, gentle and attractive if you are a fan of old-style Aussie Chardonnay.

Score: 7.5

Taster

Nose: Surprising. White chocolate, nougat, lemon curd. Coffee and cream liquor.

Palate: Viscous, milky. Cappuccino. Good balance between palate and nose.

Finish: Quite dry. Sappy, slightly astringent.

Comment: Original bunch of flavours that Towser and her descendants would have enjoyed.
