Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Slightly hard and biscuity. Some bran flakes, a little smoke. Water makes it more fragrant. Not hugely complex.

Palate: Dry start. Shuts up shop quickly on the palate. Malt, some spice but it's all straight down the middle.

Finish: Some cream and spices again.

Comment: Inoffensive but not hugely exciting.

Score: 7

Taster

Nose: Beeswax, polished floor. Greengage. A touch of lemon balm.

Palate: Full and richly flavoured. Discloses more cereal than on the nose.

Finish: Hot and spicy (ginger).

Comment: Wood has the word in the finish. An assertive Speysider to enjoy after dinner.
