A little less eccentric, and more rounded than other bottlings I have tried recently.
Signatory Silent Stills
25 Years Old
Year of Bottling
Nose: Fruity, sherbety. Strawberries.
Palate: Oily. Waxy. Fruity. Fresh limes.
Finish: Dry. Leafy. Peppery.
Comment: A little less eccentric, and more rounded than other bottlings I have tried recently.
Nose: To start with there's roasted malt, a hint of draff, then there's fruit, vanilla, and, as water is added, smoke and then oak. An intriguing combination.
Palate: Concentrated and packed with dried fruit, baked apple. Sweet with turfy smoke.
Finish: Long, slightly smoky.
Comment: Not as generous as some Imperials, but has some style.
