A very young, new-make like whisky. On the bitter side. A fresh nose isn't enough.

Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Taster

Nose: Very young, drying hay. Quite refreshing with a minty whiff. A hint of butterscotch.

Palate: Smooth and sweet at start. Leafy. Green wood takes over, developing on bitter notes.

Finish: Quite short, not especially elegant. Nutty flavours cheer up a somewhat astringent aftertaste.

Comment: A very young, new-make like whisky. On the bitter side. A fresh nose isn't enough.

Score: 6.5

Taster

Nose: For starters, it's clear. Very light and clean, verging on neutral. Hint of vanilla. Flat ginger ale. Water brings out a sulphury, new make note.

Palate: Very sweet and smooth-almost too sugary and slick.

Finish: Huh?

Comment: Is this whisky? I know the industry needs to 'convert' vodka drinkers but this is ridiculous.
