Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Lean.Birch bark, chalky. Ash (the wood) then damp earth and pear. It’s sake! Slowly a sweetness emerges alongside mandarin. An interesting interplay between sweet and dry.

Palate: Smooth. A decent, light, fruity spirit. That damp earth note emerges.

Finish: Light.

Comment: Ethereal but somehow charming.

Taster

Nose: Very fruity. Pear, apple, honey and vanilla. Perky and fresh. A hint of angelica. With water, beewax.

Palate: Smooth but brisk. Gently flowing. Sweet and fruity. Very refreshing. The same apple/pear/vanilla mix.

Finish: Medium length. Fruity and minty.

Comment: Reminds me of a very young calvados from the Domfrontais region (mix of apples and pears). Delicious, fresh and unsophisticated.
