Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Farmyardy at first, warm hay and patted down horse. Then the alcohol peaks through. Water cuts it back revealing black banana and lemon zest. A little roasted pepper note then the chilli spice heat starts to rise.

Palate: Huge alcohol masks everything, again cut it back and this gorgeous smoke note develops. Goat’s cheese and honey with a lovely rye spiced hit.

Finish: Short and snappy. Alcohol prickle gives way to that prickly chilli heat.

Comment: Raises the bar for Sweden, great stuff indeed.

Taster

Nose: Smoke – bonfires and ash. A few bovines in there as well, adding to a farmyard aroma. Things are lightened up a little as fresh strawberries come through from a pick-your-own.

Palate: A couple of drops of water and this offers a world of fruit. There’s the strawberries from the nose, but also a blackberry compote and some sour fruit sweeties. Becomes richer and richer as it goes on.

Finish: The sweetness gets a little more refined and almost herbal.

Comment: This seriously tasty stuff.
