I would never have thought this is a 30 Years Old whisky. Very weird aromatic combination. Water brings them all together in a toffee tone.

Nose: Restrained at first. A bit of fruit mingled with cereal. Tangerine, dried apple. And an unusual wet chalk note. Then a mustardy note which evens reminds of wasabi. Distant brine and smoke.
Palate: Crisp and prickly. With a yeasty taste. Really close to beer. Weird. Sour and tangy also. Faint butterscotch flavour in the back. Hint of smoke.
Finish: Dry, spicy and quickly fading.

Nose: A little held back and shy, does not give much away other than a warm bread and water biscuit note. Then smoke arrives, like clothes in a cupboard after party. Some citrus notes.
Palate: Dry and a little sherberty. Proving sourdough bread, a slight bitterness, but then sweetness and spices start to build. The smoke is still here but only just.
Finish: Short and brief.
Comment: Another shy whisky, this has its lovely side, the palate is very full and intriguing.
