Nose: Sweet cure bacon, truffle oil, baked oysters and basil and a big slice of the oaky spiciness.
Palate: Lovely layers of wood spices, vanilla, and honey. Really well balanced.\n
Finish: Smooth and sophisticated.\n
Comment: Very well engineered, as you would expect from a country which holds function and form so highly.
Nose: The aromas are subtle with rich, dried apricot, orange and sultana. Elemental, medicinal peat appears with chunky barley, capsicum, black pepper, Assam tea, manure and tar. Lovely integration.
Palate: Moist vanilla-toffee laced dried fruit. The spirit is showing its youthfulness, but it does add a vitality. Medicinal peat appears on the middle with a touch of salt and building tannins. \n
Finish: Long with the saltiness in full swing but it’s balanced by the sherried fruit. Lovely, sooty, smoky finish. \n
Comment: Although young, it displays a lovely elegance and character.
