Tasting Notes

Arthur Motley

Taster

Nose: Chutney spices, like a good homemade tomato and onion chutney. Homemade plum jam. Marmalade on malt loaf. Wet peat. A box of dark chocolates.

Palate: More floral than the nose, with a little peat smoke.

Finish: Some meatiness and cloves.

Comment: Bags of flavour and a good duel between cask and spirit.

Score: 8.3

Taster

Nose: Thick and slightly oily. Boiled sweets, then a melange of fruit. Water increases the perfume and calms things down.

Palate: Starts dry then oily then fruity. Very silky then tinned fruit, smoke, charred wood and salt.

Finish: A little cloying.

Comment: These strange combinations make me think of an unconventionally beautiful model like Erin O'Connor.
