Nose

Moist earth, moss, wet leaves and a hint of spicy rye. This is about as direct as they come. There’s also a touch of sour dough too.

Palate

The ABV greets the palate with ferocity. Astringent, leaving a dry residue, with some oakiness, a hint of tobacco, powdery dry apple and cream. Water softens, but doesn’t diminish the oakiness.

Finish

The dryness continues, with the oakiness making its mark with intensity.

Some bold flavours in here. An unnecessarily high ABV?Perhaps. I expected this to deliver more.
