Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Fruit loaf, with a sprinkling of nutmeg. The sweetness of beeswax, toffee apple, coconut shavings and poached pears, delicate fresh ginger and a little linseed oil drizzled over toast.
Palate: Very light, like a coconut milk rice pudding, gratings of nutmeg, floral notes of clover, a drizzle of local maple syrup and very delicate peach.
Finish: Creamy with a little more of that gentle woody spice on a medium finish.
Comment: It’s slightly meek to begin with, but with time and revisiting it does emerge a little.
Nose: Delicate cedar cigar box and nutmeg. Underneath, subtle strawberry and balsamic. A touch of olive oil and olive brine. There’s toffee apple and burnt toast too.
Palate: Light bodied. Werther’s Originals, butterscotch, and maple syrup. Beneath all that sweetness lurks cucumber and cantaloupe.
Finish: Those sweet notes fade to a suggestion of green apple skin.
Comment: A very delicate but pleasing blend, but so delicate that all the flavours are a gentle whisper.
