Nose

Cardamom buns, barley sugar, and baked pâte sablée with poached pear. Lemon sherbet. Pine needles and mossy bark. Allspice and fennel seed. Hints of burning paper and cigarette ash.

Palate

Medium-full. Herbaceous, ashy smoke upfront, underpinned by cardamom bun. Almond frangipane. Baked pear. Apricot. Smoked vanilla ice cream in a wafer cone. Then pine and methol notes.

Finish

Long. Light tannin, raisin, and subtle smoke.

Beautifully balanced and rounded. If anyone wants me, I’ll be in Denmark looking for this.
