Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Lilac and violet sweets, a touch of eucalypt leaves, wood sap and vegetable stock cubes. Warm, slightly damp hair under a hot hair dryer. Honeysuckle, damson flowers, cherry blossom after the rain.

Palate: Fresh wood, corn and salted butter. No alcohol burn. Eucalypt oil and mint cake. Ripe tomatoes and greengage fruits.

Finish: Seems swift but there’s enough spice to make itself felt. Slowly lengthens with the chilli.

Comment: Making an Old Fashioned in a greenhouse with tomatoes ripening.

Score: 8.2

Taster

Nose: Candied rhubarb, green apple laces and barbequed mango with a warming sweetness of yoghurt covered raisins and marshmallows.

Palate: A bittersweet turnaround with juicy fruits flipping into overripe bananas, pickled rhubarb and burnt almonds finished with hints of used coffee grains, damp autumn leaves and aloe vera.

Finish: A light and short finish with sugar filled bitter notes.

Comment: An unexpected turn of events with fresh fruits taking a bitter twist.
