Nose
Fruity and malty. Pear drop. It slowly opens up on lovely vanilla syrup and light toffee. A pleasant herbal note. Green tea mixed with basil. With water ran earthy and peaty touch.
Palate
Firm but round. Oak is more present than on the nose but pleasantly frames the malty flavours; and again this herbal character.
Finish
Dry, slightly spicy.
Comment
A well structured dram. More appreciated neat than diluted. Water enhances oak and bitterness.
