Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Something really hospital-esque about this. TCP mixed with mint. Citrus emerges: fresh-squeezed limes and brown sugar. Then lovely smoked bacon.

Palate: That bacon note continues. Sweetness comes in the form of maple syrup. A cracked black pepper edge and a little sea salt. Smoked almonds too.

Finish: Fades gently, with that wonderful smoke profile still holding court.

Comment: A good mix of old-school TCP notes and sweetness. A lovely whisky.

Taster

Nose: Notes of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, vanilla scented candles and rock salt are quickly dominated by the aroma of wicker baskets filled with roasted hazelnuts and wet autumn leaves.

Palate: Unbaked cookie dough and salted caramel followed by vibrant citrus fruits that cut through the saltiness and allow a rich blackcurrant tang to appear.

Finish: Fresh and vibrant fruits fall away, with the rock salt lengthening the palate.

Comment: Salivating and dehydrating all at the same time.
